MONDAY TALKS - SPRING TERM 2012

The popularity of our Monday talks continues apace, the audience for our last talk (reported elsewhere in this Newsletter) reaching 50. Starting with coffee and a chat at 10.30am, a happy atmosphere is enjoyed by all, and a few announcements of any up-to-date news by the Chairman helps members to keep abreast of events in our U3 A before the talk starts at 11.00am.

The following talks have been arranged for next term. Please note them in your diary and continue to come along and enjoy the wide variety of subjects that we try to bring you.

16 January

SHOPLIFTING - HOW IT IS DONE AND HOW TO PREVENT IT! Brian Wass

The speaker was originally Chief Superintendent of the Metropolitan Police and then Security Manager of Fenwicks at Brent Cross. He is ideally placed to demonstrate and talk to us about some of the scams used by shoplifters and ways in which they can be tackled.
